Privacy

In short

No cookies, no audience measurement, no advertising, no profiling. The website only processes what it needs to show you your city and to answer you if you write to us.

Data controller

STUPIDR, 140 rue du Chevaleret, 75013 Paris, France. Contact: ben@stupidr.com.

Your IP address, to show your city

When you open the website, our server reads your IP address to estimate your city (never anything finer) in a location database hosted with us. The address is used for that lookup only: the website does not store it. The goal is to show you the story in your own city, which is our legitimate interest.

Like any website, our host keeps technical access logs for security purposes, under its own policy.

Third-party services loaded by the page

To draw the map and the evening weather, your browser loads resources from OpenFreeMap (map tiles) and Open-Meteo (weather, from the approximate coordinates of the displayed city). Like any web resource, these services receive your browser's IP address. We send them no other information about you.

If you request a demo

The form sends us your full name, company, job title, work email address and, if you describe it, the decision ahead of you. We use this information only to answer you and to follow up on your request, which is the basis for processing it. It is stored in France, with our host, for at most three years after our last exchange.

To keep out automated submissions, the website’s server counts requests per IP address, in memory and for one hour only.

Cookies and storage

The website sets no cookies. If you switch the language yourself (FR or EN), your choice is remembered in your browser so that the website opens in that language next time. This storage only keeps a choice you made, so it requires no consent.

Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its processing, and request its portability, by writing to ben@stupidr.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
